In August 2010, my company was suffering from the down turn in the economy and going through a very difficult time. I was faced with financial problems that I had never experienced before in my 20 years of business.
I met with David and he seemed to be a very intelligent and honest man with a lot of business experience that I could really use, but I was still very apprehensive. In the past I had spent tons of thousands of dollars on two different consulting groups with very poor results.
I had to make some very tough decisions to turn my business around, so I decided to give David a chance and I'm glad I did. With David's coaching and the many different resources he brought through AdviCoach Business Coaching, we were able to develop a plan together to help my company, as well as plan for my family's future security.
I always feel energized after our coaching sessions. My stress level is reduce because I feel confident I have a plan that will work, as well as the tools and resources to be successful.

David is an excellent business coach. His commitment to my success has been a huge boost to my bottom line and the time savings alone are worth the investment. He is always available and an excellent source to bounce ideas/suggestions. No high pressure tactics with David either.

I really enjoyed working with David. He provided great insight to me as small business owner in achieving some critical objectives that were key for my business survival. I would recommend David to any small or large business owners that would like to take their business to the next level.

I had reached the breaking point with: 1) a retail business that was clearly failing, 2) a consulting practice that was performing well on the work obtained but not obtaining enough work to sustain it, and 3) a W-2 employment search that was unsuccessful (my focus was almost exclusively on the retail store). David convinced me to look at my businesses in a different way. As a result, I was able to understand what was really going on in my retail business from several perspectives, including financial, customer service, sales, and marketing. He helped pull me away from the day-to-day concerns long enough to see things I hadn’t seen. I ultimately decided that closing my retail business completely was in the best long-term interest of my life goals. This freed up time and energy to allow me to focus on my other two priorities, making June/July 2011 the most successful period I’ve had in the last 5 years.

David is an excellent coach, consultant and friend. He is genuine and some of his greatest strengths are his integrity and honesty. He gives 100% and can help one who has the drive and commitment to move forward. He came on board and added a lot of valuable insight/help to areas in my business and personal life - which of course are closely intertwined. I believe that he would be of great help to someone who wants to move to another level of personal and business development.

When David contacted us, [my business] was in need of a more sophisticated level of business management that the company could afford in a full time employee. At the time, it occurred to me that David was demonstrating some of the specific skills we needed help in, in the conversations and actions that would lead to a professional relationship with us.
As a small company, I have had a hard time finding a business manager that could handle at the same time both the inward focused paperwork of running a company and the outward focused sales work. As a result I wound up, moving back and forth covering the management deficiencies instead of tending to the creative work from which our company derives its income.
David has helped us to better define and organize our needs. Then, his written tools and role-playing has helped us align our business attitudes and practices with a strategy for meeting those needs.
Having David come in to my business has indeed felt like having a resources that I thought was normally available only to much larger and more affluent companies than my own. I have enjoyed that luxury.
Quality and integrity are the cornerstones of my business; I know it when I see it. David showed up. He followed up, listened to us, addressed our situation with a personalized outlook –not just a formula, and delivered the results we needed.

In 2011, I made the decision that as CEO I had to do something different in 2012 to better engage the senior management and the staff. If we were a larger institution and could shuffle staff around, I would have sent them to offsite conferences, training session, etc… I had to change or challenge their thinking, their vision and how they approached the day.
We had mastered the art of not making waves by not asking questions, by not pushing the limits of our abilities and by not taking risk. I saw this as being stagnant and knew that we needed to do more if we were going to make any forward progress in this economy. It was my opinion that we needed to step up and address with the staff how we approach our work environment, the members, delivery of products and services, attitude and moral. We needed to look at new ideas and approach them with a “how can we do this” attitude rather than a “why we can’t do this” attitude.
I needed my senior management and supervisors to look more openly at alternatives to the way things were being done. To move what had become the norm. Anyone can shuffle papers but I needed proactive department leaders. We kept falling back into “that’s the way we’ve always done it…” I needed them to look at and weigh the risks and rewards of keeping things status quo or making changes to our product/services delivery structure.
Meeting with David expanded dialogue between the management and staff. It forced us to meet at a given time each week and along with what was discussed with David, the group openly conversed, sharing information that normally might not have normally gone through the entire group.
We’ve carried much of that forward although we still are working on being fully compliant and really attending the scheduled our meetings. I/We are excited about the new way of conducting business and the prospects of how what we’ve learned will affect the future.

When I first began working with David Waymann, it was to help me make a sound purchase of my business, which was intimidating in many ways. David helped to break down the process by helping me look into the core areas of our business. In doing this, I’ve learned to shape the business with procedures, policies, and structures that the business hadn’t really had before.
Today, I find that working with David has been helpful to me in many areas of the business. As a business owner, I don’t really have anyone to answer to and therefore it’s hard to hold myself accountable. Having David as an integral part of my team helps keep me accountable to myself and my company with various checks and balances he’s helped me to put in place. We’ve developed annual strategic plans, more detailed job descriptions showing roles and responsibilities along with the expectations of each role. As a small business owner, it’s easy to get stuck in the weeds and everyday occurrences of the company. Having David as a coach helps me to take time each month to get out of the day-to-day and really think strategically about the long-term goals.
Coaching from David Waymann has helped my business in many ways. I feel like it has helped legitimize our business where we almost ran things by the seats of our pants for close to 20 years before finally giving some definition to what we do and why we do it. Having direction really feeds upon itself and allows for goal setting, and the implementation of new ideas, policies, and procedures.
Mostly, I like that David helps me to feel accountable toward myself and my team. Without that sense of accountability, it’s hard to have direction for all of us and easy to allow distractions to get in the way.David is able to provide examples on scenarios and situations and really is good at examining things from various perspectives. David is also very responsive and timely with communication, which I like. Having a working relationship with AdviCoach David Waymann has also felt like having a set of trained eyes looking for inconsistencies and opportunities that we may otherwise miss.

I’ve known David for awhile and have always respected him and his business acumen. After hearing David speak at a couple of events, I became aware of the fact that he could truly help me build a successful company. I was reticent to approach him initially, because I’m much smaller than the businesses he typically deals with. David graciously offered to work with me, and it’s been a great experience thus far.
As a single mom launching a new business, financial fear was perhaps the biggest motivator. I really wanted someone to look at my processes and help me uncover holes in my business. More than anything, I wanted someone knowledgeable to help me set my business up correctly for success. David is so good at picking apart details, helping me tweak wording, and encouraging me to take a long term view of my business. As a solo entrepreneur, it’s easy to get bogged down in things that don’t generate revenue or to undersell services.
Meeting regularly with David is a refreshing experience each week. I’ve been delighted by the incredible insight he's provided. I expected help and guidance but am thrilled with the level of business development he’s helped me accomplish.
David’s expertise provides an incredible ROI. David is able to look at the big picture, the little pieces, and everything in between to evaluate the health of a business and help establish positive growth.

I had gotten to know David thru a networking group. We had an informal 1-1, and I felt comfortable with him. When I started to go astray from my business plan, he expressed genuine concern and helped me to get back on track. This is all before I decided to hire him.
I decided to schedule a meeting because I realized that I didn’t know how to have those “meaningful conversations”. Talking to people was not resulting in sales, just frustration and discouragement. I was afraid that a professional salesman like David would look down on me for not knowing how to sell. What I learned is that sales is a science unto itself.
Three benefits I received from David: a new mindset, a new set of skills, improved confidence. David is a super guy to work with. He really puts his heart into his work with people, and he takes their success personally.
– Marjorie
I originally considered speaking with David because I wanted a new marketing venture and the connecting of the dots from where I was to where I wanted to be.
I liked David’s business knowledge and experience to help and offer support. David gave me another pair of eyes and ears looking at a marketing plan. Better perspective on how to evaluate and gauge the new marketing plan.
I would highly recommend David due to his knowledge, skill and ability to help executives and business people get a clearer vision of their company or project.
